This one-day hands-on digital marketing training workshop was designed to make participants more effective in developing and executing digital marketing strategies for their products & services.


It is important to have a cohesive integrated digital marketing strategy before you implement anything on the internet.

This workshop was intended to achieve these outcomes. It was designed to give you a clear understanding of the building blocks that constitute digital marketing like social media, website optimization, email marketing, etc. and equip you with the tools, the techniques, and the knowledge to develop cohesive marketing strategies, and prepare and execute effective digital marketing campaigns.

The workshop comprised of a number of sessions, each designed to achieve one or more of the learning objectives.

Session 1.
Introduction to Digital Marketing & why is it important for NGO branding

Online space can’t be ignored anymore by any industry. NGOs can now reach a wider audience through digital marketing to raise donations. In this session, you learn about those techniques and effectively help you achieve your objective of creating awareness and raising funds for your NGO. 

Looking at the market scenario, you can easily understand why online marketing has become so crucial from the increasing online active time per user. NGO working professionals should invest their time in learning about digital marketing and its techniques. 

Session 2.
Importance of social media for NGO branding & fundraising

Social media is one channel where you can target your community for fundraising. If you are an organization with a limited budget to reach a wider audience, then social media is a platform that allows you to tell your story in some cost-effective ways. It will enable organizations with limited budgets to reach a larger audience in a fast and cost-effective manner. Social media platforms allow organizations to tell their story. Messages can help engage supporters, increase brand awareness, and promote fundraising initiatives.

Email marketing for fundraising & user retention

Email marketing is another best way to communicate with your target audience. When an NGO sends out email communication, their goal is to retain existing donors and get new donations through personalized, relevant content. In this session, you learn about increasing your conversions through email marketing campaigns and techniques to keep your existing donors engaged.

Website Optimization for NGOs

Getting your website to rank higher in search results can make it easier for your donors and volunteers to find you. Writing relevant content on your website is an essential element of optimization that can help people learn more about you.  In this session, you will learn about SEO website techniques for NGOs that can help you spread awareness about your organization, and also, you can attract website traffic for donations.

  • Canva, a graphic design tool. It is a freemium website where you can find numerous templates that can help you design pretty much everything. From flyers to posters, social media feeds to stories, business cards or a wedding card, you name it and you will find the templates here.
  • Similarweb, is a web analytics tool. It is a freemium website where you can get an overview of 6 months traffic growth for any website. You can treat it like your secret competitor analysis tool.
  • Mailchimp, is an email marketing platform. You can send 10,000 emails to 2000 contacts for free on a monthly basis.

My Digital Strategy Workshops are not meetings. I don’t sit around a room and talk about what we should do.
These are action sessions where I start the business analysis and requirements gathering, or if you’ve already done that, we can start scoping out what the strategy or project looks like.

Of course, it is your workshop, you can run it however you want, but I recommend using the time while we’re in the room to get into the strategic planning and high level talks about how it can be implemented, so your team can get started.
